my agriculture pathway includes plants which is a class where students learn about growing plants Fisheries which is a class that says learn practice how to go fishes in the aquatic organisms and natural resources production would students learn how to grow large tell crops in a field which are distressed hands-on experience so I just get a lot of time outside of the classroom working outside in the garden in a field in our Nursery so large-scale production new do not just gardening so it's realistic hands-on experience they have multiple Paradigm After High School turn on Bluetooth tell Marcella to internships at their Farms paid or unpaid so they have more your life has experience working at Farms Nursery sound wealth us have partnership with the Hawaii Conservation Corps so they take care of the forest and then can you see go to kolob and do some volunteer work can we summer and we also take our students every two years to call Lobby to do volunteer work do we like working outside that's all just the fact that we go outside more often and stay in their class we do spend time in the class but they really like working outside with their hands it's under the Mist set the music it dirty all the time that's not true they just like working outside watching things grow and harvest clean and getting to take home to the parents shine the teachers in community City Center hard-working trustful dedicated to education learning and that's so that I can as soon as we would prefer Jordan our pathway I learn better in a creative class like digital media play normal classrooms get super boring and uninteresting and it's it's hard to keep up and all aspects of life there are certain areas where you need to be able to be creative in order to succeed and I feel like creative classes help you you develop that sense of humor play Kevin creativity I can maybe see full making something in my future cuz it's it's really it's a fun process to go through like recording and making a getting the footage and then recording in and putting it together in a video and like your own  but I learn better in a creative class like generator cuz it's moron make more Interactive making the video was hotter than thought I would be easy just by looking at other people's videos and how they explain how they edit their videos I could totally see for making this something I don't I feel traffic I feel like it's a it was super fun exciting doing it making a film makes me feel happy and hardworking and determined The Wiz live the business pathway is designed to introduce students to the business World specifically hospitality and tourism since that's the number one economy here on Maui business is that the whole world revolves around it everything has some sorts who reply back to business I'm not just I'm actually doing business as well which is what I like to do but I don't do a lot of it be honest with you my students to run the store do most of the handling of vendors and National like I'm stuffing about businesses math is a big role in it and I'm not the biggest mac junior so that's one thing that I think I most people struggle with business is good for those that don't know exactly what they want to do or have a confirm grasp of what they when do businesses really open to everybody if you know you want to be an engineer take I-80 I think that's very important but if you run turn engineering company you need to have business principles also just because I mean I'm 7 years old and I'm like things in that an adult with you just because I'm So Young when you're calling them they're like asking who I am in the wrong I'm coming from behind on high school senior and then oh there was an adult that they're talking to in this case is not  image tease more than just classes it's a family students that complete the program or in my classes for 4 years so we get to know people on a personal level more than just teaching business I've had started so counter railroad experiences and I'm in the dog I kind of already have an idea of what I have to do do the web search lights. see that actually Cooks its food cooking is what our culture is if you think about it all the immigrants that come here they start to learn language the language and things like that but the last thing they have is cooking and that's what we got that fires our culture  what I like about the culinary arts is that I can express myself through food and I can give them to people and make them happy I can take my mind out of school for a one hour of my day and just focus on cooking  some people like to work with their hands or not I want to read they don't want to you know do book work and things like that and it's more fun in place when you get to eat what you produce its you have a lot more motivation some being able to pay for groceries but being able to cook is a privilege because we can freely experiment with all the ingredients we want there's all kinds of thing you give you a morning person you can be a breakfast Chef I mean there's there's not only the back of the house or the front of the house waitress holes there's food hamsters all kinds of different things yes night life depend on who you are there's a lot of jobs and in Hawaii they're always looking for workers say Jesse a long-term career in the culinary arts because in the kitchen I feel in control but at the same time not I know what I'm doing but is a million ways that I can be better  it's very high face and fast so it is chaotic and people are yelling what time not because they're mad but because it's a loud place  to a student that couldn't take a cleaner E-class I would advise them look up home so that they can fully prepare themselves if they are looking for a career in the recliner field keep your culture Alive by Coke but also belong Savion did once a tell me what you need and I'll tell you who you are The Wiggles tell my name is Jeremy that was I am the what you would call Woodshop teacher I teach from Grade 9 through 12 IAT stands for industrial engineering and Technology three programs of study are building and construction technology automotive technology and Design Knology  you can only learn so much out of books out of textbooks you cannot get work ethic you cannot get Mork you cannot get that that real-world preparedness from a classroom a typical classroom setting example in you can read all the books you want but when you go to a specific place and see what you're reading it helps a lot anything technology does Peaks my interest I respond better in a Hands-On environment as a former knucklehead it got me to move and not be confined to classes to the typical classroom setting it got me able to go out and about and and move in put my different creative juices to work I think if we can find we get bored and therefore we get frustrated therefore we are out in my classroom and in Woodshop autoshop egg those types of classes you're not come find the to your desk so there for you you're able to move around and interact with your classmates and at the same time you're getting your learning something and you're getting to create something and you're being positive in the school system I think having different lines in a project is better cuz some people may have this idea of some people may have that idea and it could be better you could be in any kind of manufacturing industry whether manufacturing or home is a construction worker or man factoring a gears or transmissions for automotive or manufacturing bridges in designing and Engineering Bridges Drop the World any kind of structural or mechanical creation would come out of it when it comes to my classroom I don't teach boys or girls or women or men I teach my students so when I see them come back especially post high school after high school when they come back and I have female contractors coming by and saying look mister I'm so happy for you did. What makes teaching worthwhile Play-Doh Play-Doh fisherman so am I Health Services pathway you get to learn a lot about the different professions in the medical field you got to learn about Vital Signs which is basic play how to take pulse how to take a temperature and more I believe a future goal for a student in the health services pathway is to see if they still want to continue on in the medical field and maybe to figure out what they want to major in in college my experiences and health this pathway will help me in the future because we get to learn more about medical terminology which I believe will help me in college and we got to be certified in PRN first aid along with learning more about vital signs in order to help people I believe a person must be passionate and confident about the work and I'm cost of a patient services Poplar able to go to the hospital where we learned more about the Health Professions on to the senior center why we helped patients with Dementia by joining ho so we were able to go to Oahu to compete for our events which is states and Anaheim California and Nashville Tennessee for the national leadership conference and International Leadership Conference  my favorite experience is I've been teaching for almost 16 years now is watching the students who have graduated through my program come back and speak to my students who I currently have because they're in the healthcare profession now it's kind of coming full circle where the kids that I taught are now mentoring my students that's pretty special
