Congratulations Mina Nagasako as our recipient of the 2026 Harvard Book Award

Mina Nagasako is Lahainaluna HS recipient of the Harvard Book Award. Presented by Mr. Mufi Hannemann and the Harvard Alumni Association, this award recognizes an outstanding Junior who exemplifies Harvard’s strong tradition of academic excellence, achievement in extracurricular activities, and exemplary character.

 

Mina maintains a GPA of 4.137 while having a full schedule of Honors and Early College courses. She is part of the Early College AA-Degree Program through University of Hawaii Maui College, and will graduate with her Associate’s degree in May 2027. Mina is also heavily involved in the Lahainaluna Campus community. She is an active member of Student Council, Papa Hula of Lahainaluna, and a Student Athlete and holds various leadership positions within these groups. 

 

Mina effortlessly builds connections and fosters a positive, inclusive environment for everyone around her. Her innate kindness is paired with a tireless dedication to excellence. She is hardworking and consistently putting in extra time to go above and beyond regardless of the challenges placed in her way. 

 

Congratulations Mina for being an outstanding representation of the Lahainaluna Ohana.
