Lahainaluna High School Class of 2025 Parking Information Lahainaluna High School Class of 2025 Graduation Parking Information Show Transcript Aloha, This is Kumu Eva, Luna's class of 2025 class advisor. I just wanted to come on and share with you folks our parking situation for graduation this Sunday, May 25th. Let me turn this screen, so here is the map that I made, and the plan is a little bit different from what we normally do. And so we're hoping everybody comes up Lahainaluna Road, but we're hoping to pull everybody into Lahaina Intermediate, will first hit this back grass parking area. We'll have people parking here, and then when that is filled we'll move forward into their regular staff parking area. Then as soon as this area is full the parking staff will pull off and some will go to this area to prepare for this overflow area. But after this front parking lot is filled in line, it's immediate we will then hit the dirt parking lot, and then this overflow area while we start to also pull some people for into this Princess Nāhi‘ena‘ena cemented and paved parking area that they have we will have 2 shuttle buses that will take you from Lahaina Intermediate in front of the bus. One primarily will be for the graduates to get them up and down on into the cafeteria and the other one will be to shuttle people here. Once the graduates are all up at the cafeteria then both shuttles will be used to take people from 980 up to the stadium. Once this is filled, the buses will break off and then we'll start pulling people from Princess up to the stadium. The shuttles will only be here to take you to the stadium, they will not be here to take you back to your car after graduation so we are asking people to please bring your flag, flashlights, anything you need to take you safely back to your car if your Ohana is parked at like Princess you could potentially walk back down to Lahaina Intermediate ,wait here have your Ohana go get the car and then come back and pick you up. At Lahaina Intermediate there will be no traffic really flowing into this area after because of the lei ceremony. There's been too much foot traffic we don't want anybody to get hurt so the closest you could pick up people if you're just that brave person that wants to go get the get it ready for your Ohana would be at Lahaina Intermediate and we just want to make sure that everybody is safe. This area right here is for our kupuna placard people who need that extra kokua to to the stadium. Once this parking area is filled then the ADA overflow will be up by the Admin Building so we're asking for everybody's kokua and patience as we're trying to come up with a plan that will pull people off of Lahainaluna Road faster to get them parked and able to get to the stadium the gate here is that main gate at Lahainaluna this gate will remain locked and will not open until 4:00 p.m. So we're asking people if you're going to come and you're going to park at Lahainaluna and to meet it and you're thinking, "Oh I going to send my young nephew or my young Ohana members to kind of run up and save us spot in the line," know that as far as they're going to get is this point right here so everybody who comes early are things that they're going to come early and get a spot everybody's going to get stopped here. There's probably going to be a line that forms here once 4:00 opens and the gate opens then people can come up and walk.We will have police officers here and here and above here to kind of just help with the floor and have everybody walking safely so you can come parking opens at 4:00 most likely people going to come early will start to pull them into the high intermediate to park the shadows will start at 4:00 a little bit earlier for the graduates, but really we want to keep this area because of all the foot traffic and everything happening on campus we're trying to keep everybody down and so and additional notes for after the ceremony lay ceremony up here at Boarders Field nobody will be allowed to be picked up at the bus stop because at that point Project Grad and the buses to take the graduates to Project Grad will be up here and so we cannot allow starts to come up and pick up so the best you could do is kind of walk down here if you're getting picked up after and most of the foot traffic is done then maybe we might allow people to park pick up people from here this area right here where you kind of drop off students sometime but I really just depends on that foot traffic so just please be maka‘ala, be aware of your surroundings, make sure everybody is safe so that we can enjoy this graduation season together safely and with Aloha.
