Unit 3 part 1 - The World of Islam
Vocab 8 - Worlds of Islam and Guided Reading 3.1
In class we have been watching the first 2 sections, the messenger and awakening, of the PBS documentary, Empires of Faith: Islam, and answered the video questions.
Also we had one day of notes in which we looked at the fundamental elements of Islam with the power point presentation and a graphic organizer to be turned in.
Finally we did an in class group activity in which we looked at the achievements of Islam, matching descriptions to images or 16 different achievements in the Muslim World from 700ce to 1200ce.
