Senior Contract is Due Tuesday, March 15, 2016

A reminder for all SENIORS: If you haven't done so yet, please turn in your contract signed by both you and your parent. This is due TUESDAY MARCH 15, 2016! In order to receive a contract packet, the student and parent must have been at one of the meetings, if they weren't there, please see Mr. Simms as soon as possible.

Please see Mr. Simms during non class time if you have any questions and/or concerns. Please do this as soon as possible!! Thank you.

Foodland's Shop for Higher Education scholarship program UPDATE!

We are behind Baldwin High School by 83,878 points!! We need your help if we are to retain the #1 spot. The deadline is Wednesday, March 15th. So please designate your Maika'i point to Lahainaluna High School and spread the word! The more points our school earns, the more scholarships it will receive. Foodland will award $200,000 in college scholarships to 100 Hawaii high school students. Lahainaluna won the contest last year and received five (5) $2,000 scholarships. Shop for specially tagged items and we will receive 2X (double), 3X (triple) or 5X (quintuple) points!

Please tell your families, alumni and friends to support Lahainaluna High School! Simply tell them to shop and give our school code — 7562. Let’s be #1 again!

ACT Information for Tuesday, March 1st

It's that time again! We are having the ACT test on Tuesday, March 1st for 9th, 10th, and 11th graders. It will run from 8 am to 1240 pm...with a few breaks in between test sessions...then we'll have lunch.....then we'll finish the day with period 5. School ends at 2 pm that day. Get plenty of rest the night before and have a healthy breakfast! Please look for your class assignments posted at the library, I building, administration, and the new cafe or look for it on edline. Mahalo!

Attention Class of 2016 SENIORS. Tuesday March 1, 2016 all SENIORS will report to the NEW CAFE at the start of school for ACT testing day. Mahalo!

Lahainaluna High School Music Department annual Spring Concert Monday, March 14, 2016

SAVE THE DATE!! Support your Lahainaluna High School musicians!! The Lahainaluna High School Music Department will be having their annual Spring Concert on Monday, March 14th 7:00pm at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center Castle Theater. It's FREE so come and enjoy our music!! Mahalo!

Our original date of March 1st got changed to Monday, March 14th due to ACT testing that day. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Congratulations to 3 of our Lunas Students!

Congratulations to Tayler Peligrino-Hayase, Sami-lei Saribay & Kiana Nakoa who competed at the Jamz All Star Cheer National Competition on Saturday, Feb. 27th & Sunday, Feb. 28th. They cheer for Hawaii All-Stars and have a gym in Kahului. They competed with some of the best cheer teams across the nation and Kiana and her level Kaprincesses won 1st as well as Tayler and Sami's team HI 5-0! This was their 2nd competition for the season, 1st was at Oahu back in January where Maui once again had a clean sweep! Next competition for these girls will be in 2 weeks in California, then off to Florida in May!

Lahainaluna High School Students in the Maui District Honor Band

These Lahainaluna students are members of the 2016 Maui District High School HONOR BAND. They join a 74 member band comprising of Maui County's most dedicated band students. They will perform at the 36th Annual Maui District High School Band Festival at the end of April. The Honor Band will be conducted by Mr. Michael Bataluna of Kaiser High School on Oahu. They will be joined by band students from Baldwin, King Kekaulike, Lanai School and Maui High.

Class of 2016 MANDATORY Pre-Graduation Meeting Dates

ATTENTION Parents and Seniors Class of 2016:

There are MANDATORY Pre-Graduation meetings set for this Sunday, Feb. 21st at 3pm and Monday, Feb. 22nd at 6pm held in Hale Pa'ina (new cafe).

The class of 2016 senior and one parent must attend one of these meetings in order to participate in commencement exercises.

Lahainaluna High School Music Department Carwash Saturday, February 20, 2016 8:00am to 1:00pm at Lahaina Gateway Parking Lot

Please support our Music Department! The carwash is this Saturday, February 20th from 8:00am to 1:00pm at the Lahaina Gateway Parking Lot. Its $5 for all vehicles with a pre-sale ticket, $5 for cars & $7 for larger vehicles without pre-sale ticket. Please look for our students in the concert band, concert choir, jazz band, and marching band for pre-sale tickets. Thank you and please share this flyer often.
