About Lahainaluna High School PTSA:
The mission of the Lahainaluna Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is to bring together families and educators to achieve each child's potential. Our PTSA, which is made up of approximately 100+ members, provides resources and support outside of the regular educational environment to parents, teachers and students, so that Lahainaluna’s students can excel in education, society, and life. We work to bridge the gap between PTSA and the community to empower and equip children socially and academically, while advocating to support resources for every child.
Each year, the Lahainaluna PTSA hosts activities and events to engage families, students, and teachers, including our annual Reflections Art Program, volunteering on campus, fulfilling Teacher Wish List items to provide additional resources to the classrooms, providing merit scholarships to graduating seniors to assist them in their post secondary education goals, and hosting a safe, drug-free, alcohol-free, fun-filled Project Graduation event.
Membership in the Lahainaluna High School PTSA is open to all. Membership dues are $10 annually per person. Please download the membership form on this page or email [email protected] to have a membership form emailed to you.
About Project Graduation:
The vision of Lahainaluna High School Project Graduation is to provide a safe and fun filled night of activities for the graduating seniors of Lahainaluna High School. Project Graduation provides the community with an opportunity to become involved with our high school through fundraising activities, donating, and volunteering to help with the planning and execution of the event. The community is provided with a safe alternative for its graduating seniors to celebrate their milestone in a drug-free, alcohol-free environment. Many parents proudly state that it was worth every minute of their time to produce the biggest celebration that their children would experience up to that point in their lives.
Project Graduation reduces peer pressure to use drugs and alcohols, saves lives in producing fewer traffic fatalities for seniors, and relieves stress for parents on graduation night. Traffic crashes are still one of the leading causes of death for youth between 15 and 24 years of age. Youth between the ages of 16 and 20 are killed in traffic crashes at twice the rate of the general population. Project Graduation cuts down on the fatalities and accidents that happen due to underage drinking and driving. This ensures happier communities, as the loss of a child in a close-knit community has widespread affects on all its members.
**Parents Needed for Planning Project Graduation – Each year, it takes hundreds of volunteers/parents from all grade levels to pull off this event. We encourage you to get involved early, so that when your child is a graduating senior, you are familiar with this amazing opportunity to celebrate a milestone in your child’s life. Seniors: You can pick up a Project Graduation application form in the school office or download it from this site. Sign up by November 30th at the reduced rate of only $30 (this is a $170+ savings of the actual cost of the event.). The cost goes up to $50 through April 30th, then $75 until the Friday before graduation. If space is available, the cost on graduation day is $100.
PTSA Reflections Art Contest:
Feeling creative? The Lahainaluna PTSA is pleased to announce that Lahainaluna students will once again have an opportunity to participate in National PTA’s Reflections Art Program. Students may submit creative works in up to six art categories: Visual Arts, Photography, Literature, Music Composition, Dance Choreography, and Film Production. Entries must be inspired by this year’s theme of “Within Reach”.
All students must follow the general participation rules, as well as rules for each arts category. These rules and the student entry form can be found in the school library, at the Parent- PTSA tab of the http://www.lahainalunahs.org/ website, or you can email [email protected]and request this information. Entries may be turned in to Mr. Granillo’s room (J101) or you can contact the PTSA for other drop off options.The deadline to submit entries is Wednesday, November 22nd.

Enjoy an evening of family fun, food and entertainment, as locals and visitors join together to celebrate and support the student activities, events and athletics of Lahainaluna High School.
Festival attractions includes Maui’s favorite eateries and food trucks, local artisans and vendors presenting their crafts and clothing, game booths and keiki activities, a fabulous silent auction (over 40 restaurants, activities and hotel prizes) and an amazing line-up of talented Maui musicians.
