Congratulations to our very own Teani Aipa who did a live interview from our culinary class kitchen today at 8:10am with KHON2 Wake Up Today. In the interview this morning, Teani showed and explained her plate that she did for the Mahi'ai Competition that we had here on September 10th. We are proud of you! I mua Lahainaluna!

aloun Farms recently held its mahiai culinary competition this year featuring nine High School culinary team on Oahu and Maui High School competing for a scholarship fund for their school's culinary program and this morning we're talking with one of the come joining us this morning is Tiani I thought of lahainaluna high school team good morning good morning so happy to have you so we talked to earlier with the folks at aloun farms to find out a little bit about the competition but you again we're one of the competitors so what did you prepare for the competition and what was your inspiration behind your dish so I have a alright wonderful and again you're part of your school of culinary program so what motivated you to join that I want it and and okay great and end it looks like you guys are delicious dishes for looking at some of the video as well as photos from the competition so what are some of the things that you learned during the competition and also just during your culinary program as well competition okay great and you I hear want to pursue a career and Cuisine so can you talk a little bit more about that what have you done so far and what do you think your next steps are going to I'm so so far I work at the house okay wonderful the dishes so you just yet you're going to find out who wins on Friday but can you talk a little bit more about your dish the ingredients that go in because I hear that we can actually find it online can you tell us where we can find a recipe and that sounds great.
