Principal's Message

Aloha Parents & Community!

My name is Daniel Espaniola and I am truly excited to be part of the Lahainaluna High School Ohana as the Temporarily Assigned Principal. I am originally from Molokai and was a Vice Principal at Molokai High School for five years. For the past two years, I have been the Educator Effectiveness System Educational Officer for the Canoe Complex Area. I was born and raised on Molokai in a small plantation town called Maunaloa. I am married and have three children who have all since graduated. I also have four beautiful granddaughters.

I am looking forward to partnering with parents and the community in providing the best educational experience for the students of Lahainaluna High School. It is our primary objective to ensure that our students receive high quality education in a safe learning environment. We believe it is important to reach out to parents and the community to be active partners in supporting the academic achievement, social, and emotional growth of our students.

It is our responsibility to prepare students for college and career opportunities in order for them to be successful in the 21st century. Only by working together can we ensure our students' academic, social, and emotional needs are met and their potential fully realized. I am honored for this opportunity to serve as the Temporarily Assigned Principal of Lahainaluna High School.

Mahalo!

Daniel Espaniola (TA Principal)
